Symptoms Of Brain Bleed | Symtomps | Causes |

The Brain is part of the central nervous system, which is composed of the spinal cord. Brain is one of the most important parts of the body as it functions as a command center. The brain works with various nerves to receive and send messages to different parts of the body and tell what to do and how to do it.Our brain is an organ that is very soft and tough and consists of various parts. The largest part is dominated by the cerebrum, which controls speech, memory, and emotion. There is also a brain stem, which has an important role in stressful situations. When a person is under pressure, the brain enters a fight-or-flight mode, which is governed by the brain stem. The brain also controls blood pressure and breathing. The small brain (cerebellum) is the part of the brain that regulates movement, balance, and interpretation of information sent by the human senses.

1. Causes

a. Hypertension
One of the main causes of cerebral hemorrhage is hypertension, also known as high blood pressure. The heart pumps blood through various blood vessels, such as arteries to drain oxygen and other nutrients to cells and tissues. But in order for blood to flow, blood will require pressure as it flows through the arteries. However, sometimes this pressure can be very high. This will cause the blood vessels to become attracted and eventually rupture, resulting in blood flowing out. In the United States, there are at least 30% of people aged 20 years and over who are affected by hypertension.
b. Brain Injury
Another possible causes of cerebral hemorrhage are head injury, especially traumatic brain injury. The skull is a hard part of the head, but the skull does not have the ability to withstand too violent impacts. Depending on the strength of impact on the head, the skull may crack, and the injury may reach the brain. There is a possibility that the skull is not cracked, but the brain may experience subdural hematoma, or bruising and bleeding in some blood vessels located between layers of the brain. Brain injury is very dangerous, especially for elderly patients. Minor injuries from a fall or impact on the head can cause bleeding.
c. AVM
Last another conditions that can cause cerebral hemorrhage are rare and occur in less than 1% of Americans are arteriovenous malformation (AVM). This condition is characterized by the bounding of blood vessels and arteries in the brain. Arteries carry oxygen-rich blood to the brain, while blood vessels carry blood without oxygen to the heart, then to the lungs to release carbon dioxide. Due to the bounding of blood vessels and arteries, the function of both will be disrupted, so that the blood vessels will begin to swell and eventually broke. AVM can occur at birth or when the patient is an adult.

2. Main Symptoms of Brain Bleeding
There are some of symptoms of Brain bleeding :
  • Headaches that occur suddenly and painfully
  • Weakening of muscles or muscles stops working
  • Not able to perform simple activities such as speaking correctly
  • Mood swings
  • Loss of memory
  • Sensitivity to light
  • Dizzy
  • Paralyzed or numb
  • Loss of vision
  • Disorientation or confusion
  • Stiff neck
  • Feeling unwell
  • Missing awareness
  • Seizures
  • Blurred vision
  • Gag

There is the possibility of bleeding has occurred before the symptoms arise. This usually occurs in patients who have high blood pressure/hypertension. Because of this, hypertension is often referred as a killer disease.
